What is a paver?

A paver is any material that can be set in sand rather than “glued” onto a concrete pad. The typical 1/2” thick tile would crack if it was just placed on top of a bed of sand. By contrast, materials designed for exterior sand-set application are thicker. The exact thickness varies depending on the material being used.
